Want to make money from your selfies? Stylezz app is offering to PAY for your #OOTD shots

Amazon wants you to use selfies as passwords If you have a passion for fashion and an obsession with selfies, this new social network could be for you.

Stylezz is a new app that is offering social media users a way to earn money from their "outfit of the day" posts.

It works by allowing users to tag the items of clothing featured in their selfies. Then, every time a follower purchases a tagged item, the person who posted the outfit will earn a percentage of the sale.

Users can tag their clothes from a database contains more than 1 million individual items from more than 100 high-street and designer brands - including Topshop, Yves Saint Laurent, All Saints and Reiss.

Stylezz did not specify what percentage of the sale would go to users, as it currently varies from retailer to retailer.

However, the company claims that influencers with 50,000 to 250,000 followers can earn up to £26,000 a year, and one with 250,000 or more can earn up to £156,000 annually, if they publish an average of five posts a week.

There have been 88 million posts shared using the #OOTD hashtag on Instagram, and 4 million on Twitter in the last year alone, according to Stylezz.

The company's founder, Janny Kulah, described the social network as "the fashionable love child of Amazon and Instagram".

"We all know that social media users influence the buying habits of their followers – so why shouldn’t they earn from that influence?
